Student Support

Student support requires close coordination between the Grants Team, the department, and/or the Graduate College. We also work closely with Financial Aid to help resolve over-awards.

Student support can come in the form of tuition, fees, health insurance, travel, books, cash stipend, or materials. Please work closely with your Portfolio Coordinator when awarding student support.

We understand that student support commitments can fluctuate, but in order to have students receive their support by the start of the semester, it is highly recommended that a tentative plan is provided to your Portfolio Coordinator 6 weeks prior to the start of the semester, with frequent updates as needed. This will allow the Portfolio Coordinator and department administrators to allocate funds from various sources appropriately.
